The DynaNite PIP hammertoe implant is the first threaded cannulated nitinol implant on the market. The unique design allows the threaded portion to be placed on the more cancellous side of the joint and the barbs to insert easily for excellent bony apposition. The cannulation allows the surgeon to cross the DIP or MTP joints if desired and also spreads the barbs to grab more of the canal for additional fixation. The all-inside technique and cannulated instrumentation make the procedure simple and reproducible.
