The off-centered Plasti-Pore Porp is completely cannulated, allowing the surgeon visibility of the superstructure of the stapes during surgery. The position of the shaft permits a direct, rather than angled, stapes to tympanum placement. The implant is made of Plasti-Pore material, a porous, high-density polyethylene which is well tolerated in the body. The implant may be trimmed as desired.
