Intended for incision/excision, ablation, and coagulation (hemostasis) when attached to a cleared Ho:YAG laser system comprised of any standard SMA-type connector and an output power of up to 100 watts, for the indications for which the laser system has been cleared. Holmium laser fibers with SmartSync technology are compatible with most SMA-905 holmium lasers and are the exclusive fibers for use with the H-30 holmium laser system. The single- and multi-use fibers are 3 meters in length. The fiber's color coded connectors help you distinguish between single- and multi-use fibers and between the various sizes of multi-use fibers. The protective material that is integrated into the hub of the fiber absorbs errant laser blasts and protects the optical deck on the laser system from damage. This material helps to make the blast shield a redundant measure. A SmartSync microchip is incorporated into the fiber hub. This microchip communicates fiber-recognition and data-collection information with the H-30. However, confidential patient data is not collected.
